The keyword monitoring tool is powered by a pre-supplied online safety database of keywords and phrases, containing over 20,000 terms! The database covers a wide range of topics from self-harm, gambling, bullying, and racism – to risks of radicalization, drugs, sexual exploitation, and more. Safeguarding staff can review keyword triggers generated on student Mac devices, helping identify potential concerns and provide timely support where required.
To provide greater context around potential risks, classroom.cloud combines keyword monitoring with the Risk Index and Word Cloud. The Risk Index brings together multiple indicators to help safeguarding staff prioritise attention and identify students who may require further review, while the Word Cloud provides a visual overview of recurring terms, trending topics and emerging themes across the school or trust. Together, these tools help schools move beyond individual incidents and gain a broader understanding of developing concerns.
Students can also access the discreet Report a Concern feature, enabling them to raise wellbeing or safeguarding concerns directly with nominated staff members whenever they need support.
