Start your lesson quickly

No stress, hassle, or time wasted; teachers can connect to students’ devices quickly and easily – in minutes!

Create a lesson: Usually set up by your IT team, there is a choice of options to create a class, including a pre-defined device group, device name, student email, and classroom.cloud’s Class Code.

With Class Code, teachers can add a student to the class or create a new class altogether on the fly. classroom.cloud also syncs with Microsoft SDS and Teams classes, Google Classroom, Clever, and ClassLink, so classes can be pulled into classroom.cloud based on the SIS login details used by the teacher.

Find a lesson: You can filter your list of classes by last used, subject, and connection type, making it easier to find and launch your selected class.

Student forgotten their password? No problem. Simply reset it (Microsoft credentials only) from your teacher console!

Power off devices: Perfect for the end of the school day, teachers can quickly power off, restart or log off their class devices.

Engaging instruction for
active learning

Student engagement is key to effective education, going beyond keeping them busy to create a dynamic and enriching learning experience.

Screen sharing with audio: Share your entire screen, an individual application window, and/or a specific Chrome tab with all connected student devices – plus, use the audio feed to speak directly to students. This makes explanations more immediate and easier to grasp, and incredibly useful if students have difficulty seeing or reading the screen at the front of the class from their seats.

Launch a website or application:  Instantly ensure all your students are looking at the right thing by launching a URL or app directly on their devices – saving precious time!

Student toolbar: A handy place for students to access all their lesson details, from viewing the lesson objectives and learning outcomes (if provided by the teacher), to seeing which websites and applications are approved for the current lesson. It also shows the number of star rewards they have received and provides access to the chat and help request features – students have it all right there in front of them!

Monitor student screens in real time

Being able to see exactly what all your students are doing at a glance allows you to instantly identify students who are struggling, off-task, or ahead of schedule.

View students’ screens: With the thumbnail view, you can see all your students’ screens at once, no matter where they are – in class, down the hall, or even learning remotely.

Need to take a closer look? Either adjust the thumbnail sizes or use the ‘Watch’ mode to zoom in on an individual student’s screen and discreetly view what they are working on or take a screenshot.

Status indicators: Thumbnails show rewards, help requests, active chats, screen locks, device controls (USB, webcam, mute), and Wi-Fi/battery status.

Handy shortcuts: Right-click for quick actions such as lock/unlock, rewards, chat, and watch. Or Ctrl+A to quickly select all student thumbnails.

Keeping students focused
and on task

Lock screens: You can effortlessly lock all or selected students’ screens to refocus their attention on you, so you can guide them back to the lesson activity.

Remote control: Take control of a student’s screen – perfect for redirecting any activity not relevant to the task.

Web and app controls: Create ‘allowed’ and ‘restricted’ website and application lists, ensuring your students can only access relevant and appropriate websites and apps during class.

USB/webcam/audio controls: Allow or block USB and webcam use during lesson time, and mute/unmute sound from the student’s device.

Assess understanding and track student progress

Timely feedback enables teachers to personalize student support and enhance the learning experience.

Surveys: Use surveys to gauge understanding and address misconceptions as they occur. Create new surveys or use your saved ones and send them to all/selected students – perfect for personalizing learning to suit different levels and closing any learning gaps.

Random select: Keep students on their toes at question time by using the ‘Random Select’ mode. It’s a great way to ensure students feel they are selected fairly.

Rewards: Use student rewards to reinforce good behavior or acknowledge correct answers and great pieces of work.

Every student has a voice

To foster a more engaging and effective learning environment, tools to increase student collaboration are a must – from easy access to support and encouraging a culture of dialogue and collaborative problem-solving.

Chat: Both the teacher and student can initiate a chat – handy for you to give assistance without distracting others who are working, and a great way to give every student a voice.

Send a message:  Send a quick message to all/selected students to communicate instantly. It may be an instruction or a reminder to save work before the end of the lesson, for example.

Request help: It’s important that students can flag when they need help, especially those who aren’t keen to raise their hand in class. The ‘Request help’ tool is the perfect solution, as students can access this from their toolbar to discreetly send a help request to their teacher.
