Located in Bideford, North Devon, Wings South West is a charity providing an educational programme for young people (aged between 14 and 19 years old) who are not in education, employment or training (NEETs). Its motto is ‘giving people a future and a hope’ and they have been working with young people since 2000, initially running youth groups.
Looking for a way to meet KCSIE (Keeping Children Safe in Education) requirements, the charity needed a system that could help give some oversights into activity on student devices and help keep students on appropriate sites and applications. “The main thing is that it keeps us in line with the regulations through Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE); we’ve got that ticked. If a student is looking unusual, I can just see what they’re looking at without having to stand behind them in the classroom – I just monitor that remotely which is quite useful.”
