The latest classroom.cloud update introduces a range of new features and usability enhancements to the Tech Console, giving IT teams even more control over their managed devices while making everyday administration faster and more efficient.
One of the headline additions is power management and remote log in/log out capabilities, enabling technicians to remotely power devices on or off, restart machines and manage user sessions directly from the Tech Console. These new tools reduce the need for physical intervention, speed up routine IT support tasks and help administrators ensure devices are available when needed. They can also contribute to lower energy consumption by making it easier to switch off unused computers outside teaching hours, supporting schools’ sustainability goals while reducing unnecessary electricity costs.
To help technicians quickly locate the devices they need, the main Tech Console view now includes new filtering options. Devices can be filtered by platform, connection status and other options, making it easier to focus on specific groups of devices within larger deployments.
Productivity has also been improved with a new right-click context menu, providing instant access to common Tech Console actions directly from a selected device without navigating through multiple menus.
We’ve also enhanced the remote connection experience. If a technician reconnects to a previously connected device, classroom.cloud will now prompt the end user for acknowledgement again, providing additional transparency and reinforcing user awareness during remote support sessions.
These enhancements continue our commitment to delivering a powerful, easy-to-use IT management solution that helps schools manage, support and secure their devices more effectively.
The latest classroom.cloud update also makes day-to-day management even more efficient. Teachers and administrators can now see which students are signed in when assigning devices to classes, the Teacher Console settings have been expanded for greater classroom control, and the Phrase Review table now refreshes automatically as concerns are actioned, streamlining safeguarding workflows and reducing manual effort.
