Image Analysis for School Safeguarding
Part of classroom.cloud’s Enhanced Safeguarding

Detect potentially harmful content beyond keywords and searches
Effective school safeguarding requires more than monitoring what students’ type. Many safeguarding concerns can be identified through the images and content students view on their devices, making visual monitoring an important part of a comprehensive safeguarding strategy.
Our Image Analysis feature (available for Windows devices) helps schools strengthen their digital safeguarding provision by monitoring and identifying potentially inappropriate or harmful images displayed on student screens. This includes content viewed through websites, applications, online platforms and media files.
Using our image recognition technology, classroom.cloud can automatically detect content across a range of safeguarding categories, helping designated safeguarding leads (DSLs) and pastoral teams identify concerns that may otherwise go unnoticed.
Schools can choose to monitor images relating to:
Adult content
Drugs

Racism
Radicalisation
Weapons
When potentially harmful content is detected, classroom.cloud automatically generates a safeguarding alert, allowing staff to review the incident and determine whether intervention or additional support may be required.
Strengthen online safety and student wellbeing
By extending safeguarding monitoring beyond text-based activity, Image Analysis provides schools with an additional layer of protection. Combined with keyword monitoring, screenshots, screen recordings and activity context, it helps build a more complete picture of student behaviour and potential safeguarding risks.
Designed specifically for education, classroom.cloud supports schools, colleges, multi-academy trusts and districts in meeting their safeguarding responsibilities, improving online safety and promoting student wellbeing across the school community.
